Usha Casewell and team ranked in Chambers

Hong Kong, 24 January 2022: Congratulations to our Partner Usha Casewell and her Family Law team for being recognised in the latest edition of Chambers and Partners, publishers of the world’s premier legal guide.

Usha, head of the Matrimonial Department, is once again named as a Notable Practitioner while Boase Cohen & Collins is praised for its overall Family Law practice.

“Family Law is a core practice area for our firm and we have a particularly strong team. I would like to acknowledge the outstanding work of my colleagues Fiona Chan, Alice Cabrelli, Allison Lee, Kristie Wong and Claire Chow that has resulted in this recognition from Chambers and Partners,” said Usha.

“Our Family Law clients come from a wide range of backgrounds. The cases we handle vary from relatively straightforward to highly complex, sometimes involving multiple jurisdictions and extensive assets. In each instance, we pride ourselves on giving the same high standard of service.”

Chambers’ Greater China Region Guide 2022 states: “Boase Cohen & Collins is a solid practice in Hong Kong that is able to act on all aspects of family and matrimonial law. Handles complex cases where multiple jurisdictions are involved. Active in asset management, including prenuptial agreements and setting up of trusts. Skilled in mediation and out-of-court settlements.

“Usha Casewell maintains a notable practice in the family and matrimonial sphere. She has particular expertise in handling divorce proceedings, child arrangement and ancillary relief matters.”

In welcoming the news, BC&C Senior Partner Colin Cohen commented: “Chambers is renowned throughout the legal world for its integrity and neutrality when compared with other legal listings, many of which promote paid-for rankings or lack credibility. Therefore, we are delighted to be featured once again. The rankings reflect Usha’s leadership and the proficiency of our matrimonial lawyers.”
