Overview

Leann embarked on a legal career after first graduating in accountancy from City University of Hong Kong – which included a spell studying at Warwick Business School in Coventry, UK – and working, initially, in the accounting and financial fields. She completed her Juris Doctor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2021 and returned to City University to gain her Postgraduate Certificate in Laws. She joined BC&C in 2023.

During her legal studies, Leann gained worked experience at a pair of Hong Kong law firms and in the Prosecutions Division of the Department of Justice. She excelled in mooting competitions and won second place at the 12th International Air Law Moot Court Competition in 2021. Away from her studies, she carried out community work on behalf of the Hong Kong Red Cross and was a member of the Hong Kong Amateur Swimming Association’s regional training squad.
