Rankings recognition for Family Law team

Hong Kong, 20 January 2023: We are delighted to announce that our Family Law team has once again been recognised by Chambers and Partners, publishers of the world’s premier legal guide.

Welcoming the news, Senior Partner Colin Cohen comments: “Family Law is a core practice area for our firm and we have a particularly strong group of lawyers specialising in this field. Our clients come from a wide range of backgrounds and cases sometimes involve multiple jurisdictions and extensive assets.

“Chambers is renowned throughout the legal world for its integrity and neutrality when compared with other legal listings, many of which promote paid-for rankings or lack credibility. Therefore, we are delighted to be featured once again.”

BC&C’s Family Law practice has recently been enhanced with the addition of experienced lawyer Gabriella Chan. Joining as an Associate, Gabriella is proficient in a range of matters arising from the matrimonial context, including divorce and separation, children and financial applications, committal applications, domestic violence relief, injunction, third party interests, jurisdiction disputes, Hague Convention cases on parental child abduction, adoption, wardship proceedings, pre- and post-nuptial agreements and declaration of parental status.

Chambers’ Greater China Region Guide 2023 states: “Boase Cohen & Collins is a solid practice in Hong Kong that is able to act on all aspects of family and matrimonial law. The team handles complex cases where multiple jurisdictions are involved. It is active in asset management, including prenuptial agreements and setting up of trusts. The team is skilled in mediation and out-of-court settlements.”

BC&C was recently shortlisted for Matrimonial Law Firm of the Year at the Hong Kong Law Awards for the eighth year in a row.
