Korean exchange initiative a success

Hong Kong, 19 August 2024: We wish a fond farewell and good luck to law student Seoyeon Han, who spent two weeks with our firm under an internship exchange programme between Hong Kong and Korea. Seoyeon has returned to her studies in Seoul having made many friends during her time with BC&C.

The exchange, which saw 24 students and young lawyers gain experience with firms in our city, was organised by the Law Society of Hong Kong and Korea’s Ministry of Justice and Bar Association.

Says BC&C Managing Partner Alex Liu: “We were delighted to host Seoyeon for her internship and we wish her well in her future endeavours. The programme has been running since 2014 and resumed this year after a hiatus due to the global pandemic. The benefits of this initiative are clear; it plays a vital role in fostering closer legal co-operation between Hong Kong and Korea as well as assisting cross-cultural understanding.”

The programme closed with a farewell dinner for the interns. Seoyeon is pictured (centre) in the main image with BC&C Partner Stephanie Lai and Law Society President Roden Tong.
