A day to remember for Claire Chow

Hong Kong, 28 September 2021: Many congratulations to Claire Chow who has become the latest member of Boase Cohen & Collins’ legal team to be admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong. Work colleagues, family members and friends were present at the High Court on Saturday to witness her being admitted before the Honourable Mr Justice Kevin Zervos, Justice of Appeal.

“I’m delighted for Claire, who has seen years of law studies and a two-year traineeship with our firm culminate in this landmark day. She is an outstanding young legal professional who is clearly destined for a notable career,” said BC&C Senior Partner Colin Cohen.

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Claire studied for her law degree at the London School of Economics and Political Science, graduating in 2016, and completed her Postgraduate Certificate in Laws two years later at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Between her studies, she accrued considerable work experience in the legal profession by assisting Hong Kong law firms and barristers’ chambers as well as serving as a Court Marshal at the High Court. She joined BC&C in 2019 initially as a Paralegal before becoming a Trainee Solicitor.

Colin added: “Claire is the sixth member of our legal team to be admitted in 2021, while we currently have seven more trainees on our books. We are proud of our reputation for developing homegrown talent and offering young lawyers a clear career path.”
