Focus on AI at Gold Coast gathering

Hong Kong, 11 November 2024: The impact of artificial intelligence on the legal profession was examined when our Senior Partner Colin Cohen and Managing Partner Alex Liu attended Ally Law’s Asia Pacific Conference in Australia’s Gold Coast.

Themed “AI & Authenticity”, the gathering examined how the rapid advance of AI is now helping law firms win cases, manage work more effectively, serve clients better and generate more business. As well, delegates were given a keynote presentation by one of Australia’s leading business development specialists, Sue-Ella Prodonovich, who provided insights on how to build authentic leadership in a law firm by creating trust, navigating uncertainty and embracing diverse perspectives.

“As always, the Ally Law Regional Meeting offered a range of presentations and panel discussions designed to help us stay at the forefront of professional development and better serve clients,” says Alex. “As well, it was a welcome opportunity to catch up with old friends and welcome new members to the organisation.”

The conference, hosted by Gold Coast law firm and long-time Ally Law member Thynne + Macartney, also featured a diverse social programme that allowed delegates to mix in an informal setting.

Ally Law is a global organisation comprising some 80 independent law firms with 2,800-plus professionals. It provides comprehensive legal services to major corporations worldwide and helps clients overcome their international business challenges. Boase Cohen & Collins is the sole member representing Hong Kong.
