A landmark day for Gabriel Brettell

Hong Kong, 27 March 2023: Congratulations to Gabriel Brettell on becoming the latest member of Boase Cohen & Collins’ legal team to be admitted as a Solicitor in Hong Kong.

Family, friends and work colleagues gathered at the High Court in Admiralty on Saturday to witness Gabriel’s admission, moved by our Senior Partner Colin Cohen, before the Honourable Mr Justice Peter Ng. Guests then attended a celebratory lunch.

“Gabriel has been an excellent addition to our firm since joining us two years ago and we’re delighted to see him take this important step. We’re confident he will go on to have an outstanding career in the legal profession,” says Colin.

“Further, he is the latest in a long list of young solicitors who have been admitted after training with our firm. With five Trainees currently on our staff, we look forward to more days like this as we maintain our proud tradition of nurturing legal talent.”

Born and raised in Hong Kong, Gabriel studied for his law degree at the University of Nottingham in the UK, during which time he gained experience in the legal profession via mini pupillages at various barristers chambers in Hong Kong and through internships at law firms in Hong Kong and London.

After graduating, he gained a further year’s work experience in the offices of two international law firms in Hong Kong before completing his Postgraduate Certificate in Laws at City University, following which he joined BC&C in 2021.

40+ years of legal experience is just a click away.
