IP issues aired at Copenhagen conference

Hong Kong, 20 June 2022: Our Partner Susan Cheung was among hundreds of delegates who converged on Copenhagen for the 40th annual conference of ECTA – the European Communities Trademark Association.

With a theme of “Designing the Future”, the four-day gathering brought together intellectual property professionals in a series of presentations, panel discussions and workshops, together with numerous networking opportunities.

“As Europe continues its return to normality following the Covid-19 pandemic, the conference was a welcome opportunity to visit Denmark to meet industry peers and keep up to date with the latest developments in European IP,” says Susan.

With more than 1,500 members from within the European Union and beyond, ECTA promotes knowledge and professionalism among the IP law community in the fields of trademarks, designs, copyright and other IP rights. ECTA provides an ideal forum for knowledge exchange and sharing, and is an accredited professional association in many countries for IP lawyers.

Susan heads BC&C’s growing intellectual property practice, where she focuses on trademarks, designs, patents and copyright, while she also handles civil and commercial litigation, information technology matters and trade secrets.
