Arthur Chan delivers insurance law lectures

Hong Kong, 17 November 2023: Our Senior Associate Arthur Chan was invited to deliver two lectures to insurance executives this week as part of an educational programme organised by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII).

Arthur spoke about “Insurance Law: Legal Principles and Insurance Contracts” in his talks at HKUSPACE in Admiralty. He says: “We have a burgeoning insurance and personal injury practice at Boase Cohen & Collins and were delighted to accept the invitation from the CII to pass on our knowledge and experience to course participants. We trust they found the lectures helpful.”

Arthur handles a broad range of civil and commercial litigation for BC&C in matters such as insurance, personal injury and employment. He also specialises in criminal litigation and cyber fraud recovery claim.

His talks were a key element of the CII’s Learning Enhanced and Development (LEAD) programme, designed to equip insurance and financial practitioners with core knowledge of the industry and further develop their understanding of insurance contract law, insurance business, and finance and risk management.

The CII is a professional body dedicated to building public trust in the insurance and financial planning profession. With 122,000 members and offices in Hong Kong, Dubai and London, it has an established global presence and works closely with many affiliated insurance institutes around the world. The Hong Kong branch provides members in the region with technical and networking events in addition to the benefits and services extended to all members.
