{"id":3241,"date":"2022-06-07T14:43:08","date_gmt":"2022-06-07T06:43:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.boasecohencollins.com\/?p=3241"},"modified":"2022-06-07T14:43:10","modified_gmt":"2022-06-07T06:43:10","slug":"lessons-in-life-from-a-legendary-teacher","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.boasecohencollins.com\/zh-hans\/%e6%96%b0%e9%97%bb\/lessons-in-life-from-a-legendary-teacher\/","title":{"rendered":"Lessons in life from a legendary teacher"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Hong Kong, 7 June 2022:<\/strong> Inspirational teacher and charity worker Nicole Sicard recounted her remarkable life story in a lunchtime talk at the Helena May in Central attended by five of BC&amp;C\u2019s lawyers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During a fireside chat with our Partner Usha Casewell, Miss Sicard described how she arrived in Hong Kong almost 60 years ago from France to teach science in local schools. She founded various community projects, including having her students accompany visually impaired and disabled children, visit isolated elderly people, and provide evening classes for illiterate workers. After her retirement, she launched her own organisation, Mayaa Nepal, which aims to educate the poorest children in the Kathmandu Valley.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt was a fascinating discussion with a truly exceptional lady who has transformed so many people\u2019s lives through her courage, kindness and commitment. We were honoured to meet Nicole and learn more about her passion for teaching and desire to help the poor and disadvantaged,\u201d says Usha, Head of BC&amp;C\u2019s Matrimonial Team and the Helena May\u2019s Chair of Council.
