Hong Kong, 5 August 2026: As cross-border legal co-operation reaches new heights and the Greater Bay Area continues to flourish, Boase Cohen & Collins is pleased to announce that John Zhou has been made a Partner with the firm.
John, who joined BC&C as a Consultant three years ago, is admitted to practice law in Hong Kong, the Mainland and the New York State. He has dedicated his career to cross-border dispute resolution and has vast experience in complex commercial arbitration, litigation and compliance matters. He has acted for private individuals, companies and governmental bodies.
After practising a mixture of private and public international law for seven years in Beijing, Hong Kong and Jakarta, John completed his Master of Laws degree at Harvard Law School in 2017 and worked for Federal and State judges in Boston. He then relocated to Hong Kong in 2019, working for the dispute resolution department of a leading Red Circle firm.
Says BC&C Managing Partner Alex Liu: “Since joining the team, John has been integral to enhancing our cross-border legal services. With his unique profile, vast experience and deep insight, he is ideally placed to advise clients from both sides of the border and, indeed, jurisdictions further afield. His elevation to Partner is richly deserved.”
