Alex Liu presents BC&C award

Hong Kong, 31 August 2023: BC&C Managing Partner Alex Liu has praised the standard of law students at the University of Hong Kong after presenting the firm’s annual award. The Boase Cohen & Collins Prize in Accounts and Financial Management was given to Wong Cheuk-man for her outstanding performance while studying for her Postgraduate Certificate in Laws.

“HKU’s Faculty of Law has a wonderful history of academic excellence and, down the years, its students have gone on to form the backbone of Hong Kong’s legal profession. The P.C.LL. class of 2023 will, I’m sure, continue this fine tradition. Cheuk-man is a worthy winner of our award and we wish her a long and successful career in law,” says Alex.

The prize is just one aspect of BC&C’s strong links with the Faculty of Law. The annual HKU-Boase Cohen & Collins Criminal Law Lecture is a major highlight of the academic calendar, with the former Chief Justice of Hong Kong, the Honourable Geoffrey Ma, delivering the latest edition last September. Senior Partner Colin Cohen is a long-standing Honorary Lecturer in the Department of Professional Legal Education.

The P.C.LL. Awards Presentation Ceremony, held at HKU’s Centennial Campus, traditionally marks the start of the Faculty of Law’s academic year. Guests heard welcoming remarks from the Dean, Professor Fu Hualing, while a reception was held afterwards.
