Melbourne visit paves way for Ally Law talks

Hong Kong, 9 July 2019: Boase Cohen & Collins Partner Alex Liu held convivial talks with counterparts from Ally Law member firm Russell Kennedy during a recent trip to Melbourne.

Mr Liu met with Managing Director Paul Gleeson and Principals Michael Gorton and Andrew Parlour at Russell Kennedy’s offices before enjoying lunch together. Apart from discussing various Ally Law matters, he received an update on Russell Kennedy’s recent merger with Sydney-based Aitken Lawyers and the benefits that have ensued for new and existing clients.

“At Boase Cohen & Collins, we have always considered it important for Ally Law member firms to meet as often as possible outside the AGM and Regional Meetings. Regular face-to-face contact is essential for maintaining close working relationships and identifying new areas of co-operation,” said Mr Liu. He also took the opportunity to formally invite Russell Kennedy to the Ally Law Asia Pacific Regional Meeting which BC&C will host in Hong Kong on 17-19 October.

Ally Law, a global legal services organisation comprising some 70 independent law firms in almost 50 jurisdictions, utilises close co-operation between members to help clients overcome their international legal and business challenges.
