BC&C-backed Bromley bring home another trophy

Hong Kong, 7 May 2019: The Boase Cohen & Collins-sponsored Bromley FC U16s have once again risen to the challenge in southeast England’s highly competitive youth football scene.

Bromley closed out the season with three away victories over their nearest rivals to seal the Kent Youth League U16s North Division title, backing up their success in winning the U15s Central Division last year.

“Our congratulations go to everyone at Bromley on winning further silverware,” commented BC&C Senior Partner Colin Cohen. “We are a firm that has always encouraged youthful endeavor and sporting ambition, whether in Hong Kong or overseas, and it is wonderful to see these young players achieve their goals and earn just reward for all their hard work and effort.”

In an eight-day spell, Bromley won 2-0 away at Glebe, 2-0 at closest rivals Cray Wanderers and 1-0 away to Phoenix Sports to confirm the league title. The season also saw the boys enjoy a strong run in the President's Cup, where they achieved notable victories over older teams.

“I’m very proud of my players,” said team manager Danny Harris. “To finish the season with away victories at the three teams immediately below us in the table speaks volumes for their character and determination. It also meant we got through the entire league season without conceding a goal away from home.

“On behalf of all the players and team management, I would like to extend our thanks to Colin and everyone at Boase Cohen & Collins for their valuable support.”

BC&C is also title sponsor of the Inter-School Sailing Festival in Hong Kong and helps raise funds for two charities – the Hong Kong Society for the Protection of Children and the Christina Noble Children’s Foundation – through golf activities. As well, the firm supports a range of other charitable, educational and community initiatives.
