BC&C underscores support for academic excellence

Hong Kong, 11 April 2019: Nurturing the next generation of lawyers has always been a priority for Boase Cohen & Collins and this was further illustrated when the firm presented its annual award at the Chinese University of Hong Kong Faculty of Law’s prize giving.

The Boase Cohen & Collins Prize for Civil Litigation Practice was awarded to scholar Belinda Law as the Faculty celebrated another year of academic excellence. The ceremony, held at the CUHK Graduate Law Centre in Bank of America Tower, Central, was attended by students and graduates, their families and friends, prize donors and Faculty members.

“We have always placed an emphasis on supporting young legal talent, from recognising students’ achievements to offering graduates traineeships and a clear career path with our firm,” commented BC&C Partner Fiona Chan, who attended the ceremony. “Our congratulations go to Belinda as a deserving winner of this year’s award and we are certain she is destined for an outstanding career in the legal profession.”

Boase Cohen & Collins also sponsors a prize at the University of Hong Kong’s Faculty of Law and is a strong supporter of the HKU Foundation. In addition, the firm’s annual Criminal Law Lecture is attended by students from Hong Kong’s three law schools – HKU, CUHK and City University.

BC&C Partner Fiona Chan receives a souvenir from Professor Christopher Gane, Dean of the Faculty of Law at CUHK, in recognition of the firm’s prize donation.
