Ally Law recognised as world-class legal network

Hong Kong, 29 March 2019: Ally Law, the global legal network in which Boase Cohen & Collins is Hong Kong’s sole member, has earned Band 1 rankings in the 2019 editions of Chambers Global (Leading Law Firm Networks, Global-Wide) and Chambers Latin America (Global Law Firm Networks).

The news was welcomed by BC&C Senior Partner Colin Cohen, a past President of Ally Law and currently Chairman of its Expansion Committee. “Chambers is renowned for its integrity and neutrality when compared with other legal listings, many of which promote paid-for rankings, fail to conduct thorough research or lack credibility. Therefore, these Band 1 rankings are a significant tribute to Ally Law’s standards of service and continued growth,” he said.

Ally Law provides sophisticated legal services to major corporations, with a sharp focus on value and efficiency. It comprises 70-plus firms, with more than 2,800 lawyers, in some 100 business centres worldwide.

Mr Cohen’s comments were echoed by Björn Welinder, President of Ally Law and a Partner in Swedish law firm Lindmark Welinder, who said: “As we approach the 30th anniversary of the founding of our network, we are honoured to be included among the world’s leading providers of legal services.

“In addition to the rankings for our network, 18 of our member firms are also listed by Chambers in key jurisdictions around the world. Collectively, these rankings reflect the continued growth of our organisation and are a testament to our commitment to providing responsive, co-ordinated legal counsel and solutions.”

Ally Law recently held its AGM in New Delhi which featured around 150 attendees, including 80 delegates, 25 guests and 45 corporate executives. At the meeting, Mr Cohen outlined further expansion plans with the goal of having 90 member firms by the end of 2020.

Wendy Horn, Executive Director of Ally Law, added: “We are deeply honoured to be recognised by Chambers and Partners. Corporations, business owners, investors and high-net worth individuals need co-ordinated, cost-effective legal counsel wherever they have financial interests, operations or commercial relationships.

“To this end, each Ally Law member firm undergoes a stringent vetting process, conducts ongoing client satisfaction reviews and delivers top-quality counsel. Together, we can help clients respond to virtually any business challenge and take full advantage of emerging opportunities worldwide.”
